Access to Anse Source d’Argent

There is a beach called Anse Source d'Argent on the southwest corner of La Digue Island. It features some of La Digue's most stunning granite boulders as backdrops and gorgeous white beaches that are lapped by shallow emerald waters and shaded by swaying coconut palms. The island also features a vanilla plantation, enormous tortoises, and the most beautiful coconut plantations you've ever seen, home to hundreds of palm trees.

Access to Anse Source d’Argent

The Union Estate is required to reach Anse Source d'Argent, and it costs 115 Rupees (about US$8) per day, per person, to enter via there. Recent visitors agree that the small fee to enter Anse Source d'Argent is well worth it. You are welcome to use the amenities at Union Estate, such as the on-site restaurant, during your stay.

Travelers should not anticipate being picked up from the ferry dock in a comfortable minibus or bus with air conditioning. Guests at La Digue Island Lodge can rely on an ox cart to take them and their belongings to and from the ferry. To get about La Digue, guests can either rent bicycles or take an ox cart ride.

Anse Source D’Argent: The Beach

The shallow, clean water and the coral reef protection make this beach ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing with family. At low tide, the water is too shallow to swim. When the tide is high, you can go swimming.

The lengthy beach is segmented into numerous coves and nooks, each of which features the granite rocks, lush tropical flora, white sands, and blue waters that are so characteristic of the Seychelles. What sets this beach apart is its otherworldly scenery.

If you plan on spending a lot of time at the beach, you should bring your own food, drinks, towels, etc., as there are no restaurants or motels nearby. As there are shops offering snacks, drinks, and souvenirs along the beach, be sure to carry some extra cash.

La Digue Island Lodge, the largest hotel on the island, provides guests with private chalets and bungalows in addition to the conveniences of a small resort, such as a swimming pool, restaurant, and restaurants, as well as scheduled activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, and weekly boat trips. Choppy's Beach Bungalows is a smaller hotel with 10 rooms, a restaurant, and organized day tours, and is another island outpost. Pizza, pasta, risotto, and fish and meat dishes are among the specialties of this Italian restaurant, which is nestled in a lush tropical garden right close to the water. If you want dessert, save room!

On Seychelles, you'll need to exchange your money for local rupees. However, hotels, transportation, and guided tours should all be paid for either foreign money or a credit card. Money can be exchanged into local currency on the island, which can then be used for many additional purchases.
