Eagle Beach in Aruba: What to Know Before You Go
It is widely agreed that Eagle Beach in Aruba is among the best beaches on the whole island. According to the 2019 TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice Awards, this beach is the third best in the world.
The white sands and turquoise water look like they were plucked straight from a Hollywood paradise.
Find out where Eagle Beach is, what activities are available, and where to stay before your trip to Aruba by reading this helpful guide!
How to get to Eagle Beach:
Eagle Beach is convenient because there is a large free parking lot right next to it, and there is also plenty parallel parking available on the adjacent streets. You can also use the bus or train. To travel to and from the beach, you can take one of the various public transportation options available in Arubus, which cost about $2.60 one way, or you can rent a taxi from one of the many local firms, such as Aruba Taxi Company.
Before deciding on a taxi service, it's smart to find out if there are any special criteria for passengers. Make sure they'll take you from the beach before you get wet, as some won't!
In this article, I discuss the proximity of Eagle Beach to Palm Beach. Close by Palm Beach is Eagle Beach, which is easily accessible by foot or bicycle.
Why it's worth the visit to Eagle Beach:
Eagle Beach is special for many reasons, but its western orientation makes it an ideal place to watch the sun go down. The clear ocean and powdery white sand are an added bonus.
One other example is the Fofoti tree. The Fofoti tree looks like the Divi Divi (Watapana) tree that is unique to Aruba and always faces southwest because of the trade winds that blow across the ocean from the northeast. One of the reasons Eagle Beach is so well-known is because of its abundance of Fofoti trees, which are a common sight all across Aruba and a popular subject for photographers. For anyone who shares my love of flora, they provide the ideal photo opportunity!
Eagle Beach is an excellent location for sunset photographs. Because of its westward orientation, you may make the most of the sun's warmth until it sets.
It's not just people who love Eagle Beach. Marine turtles are regular visitors to the beach. There are four different kinds of these marine critters on Aruba, and most of them lay their eggs on the sand near Eagle Beach.
One of Eagle Beach's selling points is the variety of fun things to do there. The beach is great for sunbathing and relaxing in the huts that dot the shoreline, and the sea is fantastic for swimming and snorkeling. You can also hire watercraft from the beach at either Julio's Watersports or Frank's Place Watersports.
Where to eat near Eagle Beach:
There are a plethora of low-rise hotels and eateries in the immediate vicinity of this Aruban marvel, making it convenient for visitors to find lodging and sustenance.
Within a mile of the shore, you'll find Terrazza Italiana (Italian), As Es Mi Peru (Peruvian), Screaming Eagle (American), and Chalet Suisse (Swiss)—all of which regularly offer fish deals thanks to their proximity to the coast.
Lunchtime options on Eagle Beach include a food truck for those on the go. Appropriately titled "Food Truck Eagle Beach," it sells reasonably priced (about $8.00) meals of chicken, steak, pork, and grouper fillet.
Where to stay near Eagle Beach:
Eagle Beach may be the busiest on the island, but it still manages to feel far less crowded than Palm Beach, where the majority of the island's high-rise hotels are located.
In addition, there are a greater concentration of boutique and other types of low-rise hotels in this region. The Manchebo Beach Resort and Spa to the south along Manchebo Beach is my favorite. It's just as relaxing and serene as Eagle Beach, but without the crowds.
When it comes to beachfront fun, Eagle Beach has everything a tourist might want. Take in a sunset while you're there, and you may never want to leave because of how stunning it is.
